In the atrium of the historic House of Lords of Lipa in the centre of Brno an exhibition of photographs taken by Jan Lhotský during his journey to Southeast Asia took place. The exhibition depicted the travel through the Malay Peninsula into the island of Borneo, its highest peak Gunung Kinabalu and further into the tropical rainforests around the Kinabatangan river. The photographs show not only the natural beauties of this exotic corner of the world, but also local inhabitants and last but not least the endemic animal species that live in the jungle.
The exhibition took place with assistance of the city of Brno and under patronage of Brno’s mayor. Partner of the exhibition was the Koktejl magazine.
